UP Scholarship 2025-26: In today’s times, education has become not only a career path but also a powerful tool for life direction. Recognizing this, the Uttar Pradesh State Government has launched special scholarship schemes for students in the state. One of these scholarship schemes, run by the Social Welfare Department, provides financial assistance to students from grades 9th to diploma, so that hardworking students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds can pursue higher education and build their future.

The UP Scholarship 2025 launched by the Uttar Pradesh State Government are awarded to economically disadvantaged students, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and minority students. Eligibility Criteria for Uttar Pradesh Scholarship for Class 9th to Diploma

The Uttar Pradesh Scholarship is only available to residents of Uttar Pradesh. Students from outside the state will not be considered. Only students with a valid domicile certificate from the state will be selected for the scholarship. Students applying for the scholarship must have studied from Class 9th to Diploma/Graduation. Student enrollment in a recognized educational institution is mandatory. Family annual income will also be considered for this Uttar Pradesh Scholarship 2025-26, with families earning less than ₹2 lakh (approximately ₹2 lakh) given priority. Only economically weaker students from SC, ST, OBC, OBC, Minority, and General category will be selected under the scheme. Under this scheme, it is mandatory for the applicant to have passed the previous class.

For UP Scholarship 2025-26 Registration, applicants must first visit the official website scholarship.up.gov.in. They must complete the one-time registration process here. After completing the OTR, they must fill out the scholarship application form to avail the UP Scholarship 2025-26. After filling out the application form, they must upload all the documents and then submit it. The Social Welfare Department verifies the documents received by the candidate, after which the benefit amount is transferred via DBT by linking bank accounts.

Facts to Consider Before Apply for UP Scholarship 2025-26

Details such as bank account and IFSC code must be shared with the application form. When uploading documents, ensure that the scanned copies are undamaged and clear.  If any errors occur while filling out the application form, collect them as soon as possible. Update your income certificate, caste certificate, and residence certificate on the website periodically, otherwise the scholarship may be discontinued.

Renewal Process for 2025–26

Students who received a scholarship in 2024–25 can renew using these steps: Visit the portal: https://scholarship.up.gov.in/. Select Student → Renewal Login. Enter previous year registration number, DOB, password, and OTR. Update details such as new class, marks, bank information, and fees. Upload updated documents (if applicable). Verify Aadhaar-linked bank details again and click Submit. Print the renewal confirmation form and submit it at your institution.

• The correction window opens from November 2 to November 7, 2025.
• Access via login and click on “Edit Application.”
• Update incorrect entries, save, and reprint the form for final submission.
